I am a certified Life and Academic Coach.
I help PhD students to get motivated, more efficient and happier, so they can do more with less stress
I have devoted my life to the academic environment and successfully undertaken many degrees in Architecture (2003), Heritage Conservation (Master’s 2006), and the History of Architecture (PhD, 2018).
I have actively participated in teaching and academic trainings, and I offer academic coaching for PhD students in a one-on-one and group coaching basis.
I currently work as a Degree Apprenticeship Coach at Northumbria University (UK).
I have designed the S.M.A.R.T.P.H.D ™ framework to help PhD students to have a more holistic approach, focusing on :
Self-care
Mindset
Attainable Goals,
Reflection
Time Management
Planning + Priorities
Habits + Routines
Drive
which gives students the tools, and support to build the efficiency and resilience they need in their PhD and beyond.
Are you ready to make the first step towards a better PhD life?

“Before working with Lucia,
I was struggling with motivation
and had massive productivity blocks.
Many of Lucia’s experiences mirror my own, which makes it easy to relate to her.
Lucia genuinely cares about the wellbeing of her clients, often providing additional support when she knows we are struggling with something. “

" I needed to start writing but was experiencing self-doubt. (...)
With Lucia’s help my confidence grew.
She understood my situation, and I really valued her accompanying me on my dissertation writing journey.
Her help proved invaluable, and I have just met my deadline two days early."

“Lucia is someone I can brainstorm with.
I really appreciate her warm, caring, and supportive demeanour.
I look forward to my sessions each week as I know I will walk away with a plan of attack. I've come to really enjoy my PhD again.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lucia to other PhD students."
